For the love of all that is holy, go to Gridlife. It is amazing. So far in my albeit short life, I have not had a better weekend. Here is a dump of cars not on the track. I have to sort through over 1500 on track pics, so that will come tomorrow.
I met Vaughn, awesome dude. Talked to him a few times over the weekend. The whole RTR crew in general were awesome!
Big turbo FiST. 350whp.

My chariot yesterday:
This one is neat, it’s Rob Parson’s hand controlled drift car.
Track pic dump coming soon, I just have to sort. I’m really happy with how some turned out.

MMMMmmm, yes. I was hoping for a modded Juke.
I’m assuming it was 6spd. Do you how it was modded?

No clue, and no clue. I just know it was one of the slowest things out there.

Intake, tune, & exhaust will give 240-250whp/ 250-260wtq. It could have been the slowest, but the driver probably had the time of his life.

Hert’s new livery is awesome. Also, SAS 4runner.

Well I looked for you, didn’t see you. I didn’t spend much time over at the autocross. I was mostly on the track taking pictures or sorting through what I got. If you ran it I hope you had fun.
The whole car / track / festival thing is crazy. My younger friends (20's - early 30's) that I know from drifting were of course mostly all camped out there and partied all night. They were all pretty much hung over this morning when I showed up. I think it’s hard to stop partying if Ludacris plays a concert in your campground.
I met some people from California that camped out in an RV. That red S15 came down with a good sized group from Toronto. There were a couple of drifters and I spoke with a photographer that came with them. The GridLife organization is form the midwest, mostly Chicago I think. A lot of folks came up from Florida and the rest of the south was pretty well represented.
I think it was about half as big an event last year crowd wise. It’ll be interesting to see if they can keep it going. It’s a hell of a logistics project for the people that run it and for the Road Atlanta folks. I’m sure local law enforcement was up to their ears in handling issues.

The Ludacris concert was amazing. If you saw or heard a Fiesta making loud bangs going through the tunnel, that asshole was me.

Ha ha.
You weren’t alone of course. I spent a lot of time on the strip of grass between turn 10a and 10b. Five minutes didn’t go by without someone sharing their exhaust note.

It probably was not set up well. It looks like lowering springs, not coil overs. Non NISMO RS’s have open diffs too. It still won my heart tho.

While I’m moaning and complaining about the heat this guy is working away on his car and cleaning up his aero so it looks good. And then he goes out there and tears up the track drifting. Quite an inspiration.
Here’s a youtube video for background on him. We all have some limitations. We all need to learn how to not let them limit us. When I grow up I want to be half as good at life as him.

Acura MDX with BBK and seriously aggressive street tires, i have so many questions. And what is that little black coupe with all of the aero and Dos Beaners on the hood?

Honda of Alabama brought a couple of “Why the fuck not’s” out to track. They also had a stripped out, manual swapped Odyssey.
